Watermark artwork before it leaves the studio

Scans and phone photos of your work get reposted without credit, and work-in-progress previews leak before a release. A subtle signature on a whole series takes one pass; keep clean high-resolution files for buyers and prints.

How to do it

  1. 1Photograph or scan each piece evenly, then export sharing-size JPEGs
  2. 2Drop the series into the tool and add your signature PNG or name
  3. 3Place the mark in a corner, adjust opacity, and check one light and one dark piece
  4. 4Download the ZIP for social and proofs; keep the clean originals for prints and buyers

Questions

Will a watermark stop reposts?
It discourages casual reposts and keeps your name attached, but someone determined can crop it. Place the mark near the work rather than only in an empty border.
Should I watermark every image?
Watermark portfolio and social images. Usually deliver clean files to buyers and for print, unless the contract says otherwise.
Can I use a handwritten signature?
Yes. A transparent PNG of the signature works best; a JPEG signature will bring a white box with it.
Is my artwork uploaded?
No; decoding, marking and zipping happen in the browser.
